Recovery Connections launched in Redcar in 2024, providing lived experience, peer-led recovery support for people looking for recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. Our coaches comes with years of recovery from addiction, and provide a range of effective, person-centred support services to local people.

Essentially, that means that if you reach out to us, or do so on another person’s behalf, that from the moment you meet us, you are speaking to people who understand the challenges you face. We know how tough addiction can feel, but also demonstrate how real recovery can become, for anyone.

Your recovery journey

With a regular programme of group meetings and activities, opportunities for volunteering and joining our ambassador programme, plus IPS Employment Specialists on site, we are able to provide opportunities for everyone who comes to us for support. This means plenty of different options for you to engage with, depending on your personal goals, and no pressure to do something you don’t feel comfortable with.

But, as you will see, becoming part of a growing recovery community, once you feel able to do so, can be a life-changing experience. Ultimately, that’s what we’re here for, helping you to step from where you are now, into where you want to be.

Recovery Services

In Redcar we operate a weekly timetable of groups and activities, alongside regular drop-ins at local community hubs and buildings. You may also find our staff out in the community on our Free Hot Coffee Bike, sharing information about local support while pouring a freshly ground brew.

We are also able to discuss referrals into rehab, at our residential facilities in the South Tees area, while working alongside other treatment services.
