Something special is coming to Gateshead this summer as Recovery Connections brings people together for a joyful celebration of recovery, community, and hope. We believe recovery is about so much more than stopping the use of drugs and alcohol – it’s about rebuilding lives, discovering purpose, reconnecting with others, and creating a future full of possibility. This festival is all about shining a light on that journey and showing just how powerful recovery can be when people feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger.

The upcoming Recovery Summer Festival promises a vibrant, feel-good day packed with entertainment, connection, and fun for all ages. Join us at Baltic Square on 3rd July from 10am to 3pm for live music, talented vocalists, and a DJ bringing the energy, alongside delicious food, sweet treats, market stalls, games, crafts, family-friendly activities, and the chance to meet local organisations and services.

On this special day, Gateshead will also take an important step forward as it becomes an Inclusive Recovery City – a place where recovery is recognised, celebrated, and supported by the whole community. Whether you’re in recovery, supporting someone who is, or simply want to be part of a positive community event, this is a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate progress, and champion visible recovery in Gateshead.

Save the date, spread the word, and come and celebrate with us. Let’s make this summer festival a powerful reminder that recovery is worth celebrating and that nobody has to do it alone.
