£26,971.55 – £30,339.33

Full time. (May include some evenings/weekends)

About the Role 

Working within our residential rehabilitation service, you’ll support people through one of the most transformative stages of their recovery journey. You’ll deliver therapeutic interventions, build meaningful relationships, and help create a safe, structured environment where individuals can grow, heal, and move forward with confidence.

This is a rewarding and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is passionate about recovery and wants to make a real difference.

What You’ll Be Doing 

Supporting Recovery and Change

  • Provide 1:1 coaching, guidance, and support to individuals in recovery
  • Deliver therapeutic groups and structured interventions
  • Support people through detoxification, stabilisation, and onward recovery
  • Help individuals build recovery capital and develop healthier lifestyles

Delivering the Residential Programme

  • Guide individuals through the rehab programme, including 12-step, CBT-based and coaching approaches
  • Support a therapeutic, peer-led community environment
  • Ensure treatment expectations and programme standards are upheld
Working with Others
  • Collaborate with health, social care, criminal justice and community partners
  • Liaise with clinical services around medication and support needs
  • Support onward referrals and successful transitions into community services

Ensuring Safe and Professional Practice

  • Complete assessments, care plans, and reviews
  • Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements
  • Carry out drug testing and risk management activities
  • Maintain a safe, structured and welcoming environment

Supporting the Day-to-Day Running of Rehab

  • Support new admissions, including inductions and orientation
  • Promote equality, dignity, and respect in all interactions
  • Contribute to a positive and recovery-focused culture

About You

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting recovery.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, professional and non-judgemental approach
  • The ability to motivate and engage people at different stages of recovery
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A team-focused and flexible attitude

Knowledge & Understanding of:

  • Substance use and recovery
  • Recovery approaches (e.g. 12-step, SMART, CBT, Recovery Capital)
  • Safeguarding and risk management
  • Equality, diversity and inclusion

Experience of:

  • Working directly with people in a support, coaching or recovery role
  • Delivering group work and/or 1:1 interventions
  • Working within a structured or residential setting (desirable)
  • Partnership working with other services

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care, Coaching, or similar (or willingness to achieve within 12 months)
  • (Desirable) Recovery Coaching qualification, counselling qualification, or related professional qualification
  • (Desirable) Teaching or training qualification
