The Serenity Prayer: A musical about addiction and recovery.

As we approached the end of Recovery Month, there was a notable, special evening at the St Mary’s Centre, close to our Middlesbrough rehab. And in fact, the rehab had a big part to play in the evening.

Rehab Manager, Ricky Vasey, had co-authored a musical with his cousin, the locally renowned musician, Lee Vasey. Having already sold-out shows in Norwich, the musical arrived in Middlesbrough for one night only, on September 28th ’22.

Prior to the event, Gary Philipson from BBC Radio Tees came to speak to Ricky about the event, and what it means to him to not only be part of the musical – but also see it return to the town where it was created.
