Here, you see Brian, surrounded by the people who helped him to make this moment possible. For five months, Margie Bell and the team in Sunderland worked with Brian to ensure he didn’t end up homeless.
Margie said: “Brian has been a dream to coach. He did everything asked of him. There were many bumps in the road, but he trucked on despite having numerous disappointments and red tape thrown at him.”
“He has eventually just signed for secure social housing in his desired area. His peers and staff have been with him on this journey and all cheered very loudly when we came back with his keys.”

Support across the region this Christmas
Although Recovery Connections will be closed as usual on Sunday 25th, and the two Bank Holiday dates to follow, all locations will be open again on December 28th. Plus, the new Telephone Support Line will be available to contact every day, providing free access to peer support for members of the public in Middlesbrough.
