Providing a comprehensive introduction to how anybody can support a person in recovery, since the end of Spring we have delivered Recovery Ally Training across the country. And now, several online and in-person sessions later, the programme has been officially CPD Certified.
With tangible professional development now an upshot of the training, we hope to see many more students, businesses and members of the public show an interest in this excellent, informative training programme.
Between May – June, Beverley Haines delivered multiple sessions to a varied audience of trainees, including students, university staff, professionals, and members of the public. Since then, the training has been delivered to specific education establishments, including staff at The University of Chester.
Reflecting on the progress made in such a short space of time, Beverley confirmed her excitement at the news: “I am delighted that the Recovery Ally training has achieved CPD Accreditation status.“
“The training covers all the important factors that affect people’s general perception of the recovery journey. Perception is key. If we don’t help people to understand the cultural, environmental, psychological and social factors that we know increase the risk of developing a substance misuse problem and address the issue of stigmatising language how can we build a successful recovery focused community?“
“The training informs and inspires those who want to support our community. It challenges mis-perceptions and provides real tools to support recovery focused conversations as well as outlining a positive recovery model. Let’s get some real honest recovery focused conversations started!“
